Key Stage 3
South Derbyshire Support Centre offers pupils a broad and balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum.
We focus on delivering our curriculum in a nurturing and supportive way, enabling pupils to develop the skills to manage their own behaviour so that they will be able to return to mainstream or special school, depending on their needs.
We also focus on pupil behaviour in class as this can impact on their learning. Pupils are rewarded for positive behaviour and sanctioned for poor behaviour. Behaviour and work levels are recorded on pupil 'tick sheets' which are shared with parents at review meetings and parents evenings.
